How to report copyright, attribution, privacy, or other rights concerns involving HRTW content.
Rights complaints
HRTW respects copyright, privacy, publicity, trademark, and attribution rights. For the fastest review, identify the exact page, the material at issue, the right you believe is affected, and how HRTW can contact you.
Copyright notice requirements
A copyright notice should include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
- Identification and exact URL of the material to be removed.
- Your contact information.
- A good-faith statement that the disputed use is not authorized by the owner, agent, or law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act.
Knowingly misrepresenting infringement may create liability. Consider fair use and other lawful uses before submitting a notice.
Response process
HRTW may temporarily disable material while reviewing a complete notice, notify the submitting creator, request clarification, restore material after a valid counter-notice, or remove it permanently. HRTW may preserve relevant records when required by law or a pending dispute.
Repeat infringement
HRTW may end publishing relationships with creators who repeatedly submit infringing work or disregard rights-clearance requirements. The response will consider credible notices, counter-notices, context, and patterns rather than relying on accusation count alone.
